u9s report
FREETHORPE U9s
Played there first league game ever against Gorleston Rangers 'B' at Freethorpe.
The game started and Rangers quickly took the lead inside a minute. Considering the boys have only played one summer tournament and could have been 'Game Rusty' they did not drop there heads and worked hard to contain a good Rangers side.
Freethorpe began to get back into the game with Reece and Thomas looking dangerous.
Then after 14 mins somewhat against the run of play Gorleston scored there second goal. Freethorpe would not give in and played well with Liam and Perry defending well and starting play off.
The second half saw Reece get one back with a flick from new boy Alex's free kick.
Thomas then equalised to make the game even at 2-2. MOM Luke had a great game in goal making some tremendous saves and kicking well., with rolling subs the game continued to be close with Oliver, Aaron, and Liam D all playing there part. Gorleston late on went 3-2 up but Freethorpe would not give in and Alex scored a late equaliser in a good even game
