FREETHORPE U9's
played their final game of the season against Waveney B. The game started at a tremendous pace with both teams pressuring the opposition quickly, and tackerling hard. Liam S and Perry in defence were excellent both giving their all against much larger opponents. When Waveney did get past them they found Luke in Freethorpe's goal in inspirational form coming off his line bravely several times, making diving saves complemented by long kicking deservedly earned him M.O.M. Alex, Aaron and Ollie defended well and worked hard for the team.
Liam D caused Waveney problems with his pace and persistence but couldn't quite get through on goal. In the second half Reece and Thomas worked hard against a very strong Waveney midfield / defence who kept Freethorpe's shooting opportunities down by constantly closing them down quickly.
Waveney scored twice in the second half to win 2-0. A good team performance against a strong side. A most successful and enjoyable first season for Freethorpe FC U9's in the excellent Norfolk and Suffolk youth league. All league officials should be proud of the excellent work done in administering the league in a very professional manner.
