A most encouraging performance by Freethorpe Under 8's again saw us defeated but begins to offer some hope for the future weeks ahead.

We again conceded early goals against a strong Waveney B team to find ourselves 2 goals down with in the first 2 minutes, one a deflection and the other a scramble from a set piece, however our heads did not drop and we tried to play football and to pass & shoot which was much better. We were then caught again to go three goals behind, but this week we had the pace & strength of Liam D to help us out, and it was from one of his many runs that he broke through and finished well. Encouraged by this we pushed Waveney back & two fine goals from Oliver M brought us level for halftime, looking the better side.

We continued to try and play good football and in an even second half were again down by 5 - 3 when another of Liam D's runs won us a penalty, which Oliver M cleverly put away to gain our and his first hat trick of the season, Waveney B then broke away and scored a very good goal from a good pull back and they then closed the game with a close shot from an uncleared corner.

Ashley S And Joseph did well at the back, and Bailey played well in midfield, Liam B ran And tackled during his subs appearance, Ben produced one or two good saves but it was Liam D and Oliver M who carried the day for us, with Oliver M our MOM by nature of his hat trick & dribbling.
