FREETHORPE U9s
This week played Gorleston F.C.B away. On a large pitch this was a different challenge from previous weeks. Andy decided the boys would defend narrow with Alex central, Liam left and Perry right.
The game was even from the start with both teams playing well. Liam tackled and ran hard from the off with Perry covering round the back. Despite this Gorleston opened the scoring with a great lob over Luke who could do nothing about it. Almost immediately Freethorpe equalised through Thomas following a great pass from Reece. It was good to have Luke back in goal he made several good saves, came off his line well and kicked strongly. Gorleston scored again to lead 2-1 at the break. Freethorpe quickly equalised through Reece who had a great game including one great goal saving tackle. Aaron, Ollie and Alex all played there part in a fast paced game. Freethopre pressed Gorleston hard and were rewarded when Liam scored from the edge of the area following a Thomas corner. Late on Aaron suffered from an unfortunate bobble when making a clearance allowing Gorleston to equalise final score 3-3. Andys M.O.M Liam S.
