FREETHORPE U13S

FREETHORPE U13's gained their first win of the New Year in an end to end game against Gorleston Rangers B that could certainly have gone either way. Trailing 1-0 at half-time Freethorpe made changes placing Sam up front with Dominic and moving Ben into midfield. This paid off when Sam equalised with a good finish. Gorleston then fought back and scored, only then for James Dowsett to equalise with some good football having picked up a loose ball on the edge of the box. From then on Freethorpe always looked good going forward and went on to win 4-2. Sam got a hat trick following two more good finishes. However Gorleston remained dangerous when going forward, a point emphasised when a Freethorpe move broke up on the penalty box and Dominic in centre forward position ran the length of the field, past his midfield and defence and headed the ball of the line. Well done to all the players.
